2. Laboratory Information System (LIS): GixaConnect is designed to act as a basic LIS, enhancing your workflow from test ordering to printing the final laboratory report.
3. Connectivity: It offers connectivity between your systems, with each connection referred to as an integration point.
4. No Manual Data Entry: With GixaConnect, manual data entry is eliminated. It enables users to register patients and request tests, generating a barcode for each sample based on the specimen type.
5. Barcode System: After printing the barcodes and attaching them to each tube, the samples are loaded into each device. The device reads the barcode, asks GixaConnect which tests should be measured for this sample, and GixaConnect replies with the list of tests.
6. Test Results Management: Once the measurements are done, the device sends the test results to GixaConnect. You can then view, approve, and print them.
7. LIS Integration: If an LIS is installed, a link is created between GixaConnect and your LIS, allowing you to see the final results on your LIS. If no LIS is installed, you can manage and print the test results on GixaConnect.
